Office of Equity and Integration

Stillwater Area Public Schools is one of ten member school districts that comprise the East Metro Integration District 6067 (EMID).

This collaborative, involving St. Paul and nine suburban school districts, supports voluntary integration among East Metro urban and surrounding suburban schools.

Stillwater’s Comprehensive Diversity Plan is intentionally designed to correlate with EMID’s vision and mission:

EMID Vision:
Integrated communities in which all learners have the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for success in an increasingly diverse and interdependent world.

EMID Mission:    Provide and promote voluntary integrated opportunities for students, families and staff that expand cultural understanding and support academic achievement.

The foundation for District 834’s Comprehensive Diversity Plan, is a set of clearly defined board goals that allows the plan to satisfy our District’s high expectations for staff and student programming relating to:

•    Academic Rigor
•    Communication
•    Technology Integration
•    Meeting the Needs of Diverse Learners

Comprehensive Diversity Plan

Stillwater Area Public Schools Comprehensive Diversity Plan utilizes the following as a foundation for the development of four primary goals:

Intercultural Coach

The Intercultural Coaching Program is offered by the Office of Equity and Integration in the Stillwater Area School system.  It is part of an intensive staff development program on Intercultural Competencies for teachers and other staff members in E-12 schools throughout the district.

Classroom Partnerships

The purpose of this website is to provide a common ground for students and teachers to collaborate on special projects, communicate and integrate technology into the curriculum.
