Welcome to the Stillwater School District Assessment and Evaluation section. In this section you will find links related to student academic assessments, state test results, district assessment data and related information.
This site also serves as a location for staff to obtain forms and documents related to the district assessment system, Data Analysis tools and Response to intervention.
Purpose:
The Office of Assessment and Evaluation is responsible for the administration, scoring and analysis of all district and state-wide assessments. The information that is obtained from these assessments is used by teachers, administrators, and parents to help them better understand how students in Stillwater Area Public Schools are learning important skills in reading, mathematics, writing and other curricular areas. The broad mission is to collect meaningful student data, report it in a timely way and communicate the results in a clear and helpful manner.
Functions:
- Coordinate and facilitate the administration of all state and federally mandated student assessments in reading, mathematics, writing and science.
- Coordinate and facilitate the administration of district initiated assessments in reading, mathematics and language.
- and report all federal, state and local assessment results to teachers, administration and the Stillwater area community.
- Staff development training in using test data to guide instructional decision-making and in the administration of mandated and district initiated assessments.
- Development and maintenance of computer database systems to store and analyze student achievement data. These systems allow efficient staff access to student data to help guide instructional decision-making.
- Provide and report on educational research to aid in educational program development.
- Grant writing activities to allow access to additional resources for educational program development and implementation.
