The St. Croix Valley ALC is a state-approved alternative program designed to provide options for at-risk students who experience challenges succeeding in the formal school system. We offer smaller classroom settings where teachers and courses allow added academic and affective attention. Staff and students in our building coordinate interdisciplinary approaches and events while learning. Students plan and host schoolwide events for added credit earning, reflection and self assessment. Experience guides their education and builds on their personal pathways and life skills while staff also addresses state standards and offer rich and relevant course content.
The ALC is a friendly and respectful community that believes in second chances and integrates restorative justice and the values of the circle process in our school including trust, respect, humor, honor, honesty, forgiveness, integrity, and empathy.
