GRAD Test

Graduation-Required Assessments for Diploma (GRAD)

More Stillwater Area Public Schools’ students are passing the state’s Graduation-Required Assessments for Diploma (GRAD) test on the first attempt, and Stillwater students continue to outperform the state average on these exams. The GRAD exam is designed to ensure that students have mastered important academic skills before they graduate. The GRAD test is embedded in the MCA math, reading and writing tests given in grades 9, 10 and 11.

While the vast majority of Stillwater students pass the test on their first attempt, those who are unsuccessful have numerous opportunities to retest throughout their high school careers. Teachers work closely with struggling students to provide interventions to help them develop the skills they need in order to pass the tests prior to graduation.
