Stillwater Area Public Schools will be offering free breakfast and lunch to area children (ages 18 and younger) this summer, thanks to a special program provided by federal funding. The goal of this program is to make sure all youth in our community have access to nutritious meals while school is out for the summer.
When: Mondays through Fridays, June 11-August 21 (closed July 3)
Times: Breakfast will be served 8:15-8:45 a.m. and lunch from 11:15-11:45 a.m.
Location: Stillwater Junior High School Cafeteria, 523 West Marsh Street, Stillwater.
Ages: Children ages 2-18 years
Families will not be asked to fill out any paperwork and no names will be taken – kids just need to show up to eat!
Meals include both hot and cold entrees and will be served on a first come/first served basis and staff will do their best to have food for all children who attend. Shoes and shirt will be required. For the safety of all children, the district requests that a responsible adult bring the children to the cafeteria, stay with them for supervision, and escort them back out of the school building when they are finished eating.
Stillwater Area Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and meet nutritional standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
