New this summer: Adventure Club will be open to students entering Kindergarten.

2013-2014 Summer & School Year Registration Information
Purpose: Elementary-age youth are in a safe environment year-round because of Adventure Club and Spin. Instead of being home alone, children are supervised and actively engaged in a structured environment. A child increases his or her opportunities to have fun, develop interests and form positive relationships with adults and children while reducing the amount of out-of-school time spent watching television.
Participants: Throughout the school year, over 800 children in elementary school are involved with Adventure Club and Spin, while nearly 450 children are cared for during the summer. Kindergarteners enjoy a staff-to-child ratio of 1:12 and first through sixth graders have a 1:15 staff-to-child ratio.
Adventure Club
Adventure Club is a school-age care program designed to meet the needs of working families by providing high quality care before and after school. All-day care is also offered on non-school days and in the summer at select sites.
A variety of activities in a youth-friendly atmosphere to match the interests of each child is the hallmark of this daily program. Projects incorporate learning opportunities across the curriculum—reading, math, science, health and physical education. The curriculum is also infused with world languages, social skills development, people and cultures, dramatic play, and arts and crafts. In addition to this, off-site field trips and special events take place throughout the year.
Spin
Spin is a spin-off of Adventure Club designed specifically for older elementary age youth. Students will enjoy hanging out with their friends in an environment that reflects their interests and talents. Students will have freedom to choose and influence activities offered in this program designed specifically for older kids. Spin staff will inspire learning through investigation and developmentally appropriate projects. With technology, cool games and fun activities, Spin is an awesome place to hang out with friends.
School Year Spin will be offered for 5th and 6th grade students at elementary buildings which have an Adventure Club program and meet the minimum enrollment requirement.
Summer Spin is for students entering 5th through 7th grade in the up coming school year. Flexible scheduling allows families to choose which days and/or weeks you want to be involved so you can make the most out of your summer.
